Submit a Map for Review
Due to recent spam in our review queue, it is now required that
you register
and log in
before submitting. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we
feel it is a necessary step to alleviate headaches.
Thanks.
Important Rules and Other Info
Do NOT send your map archive file directly to us. There are many Unreal sites
(like NaliCity) that
allow you to upload your latest creation. If not a NaliCity link we prefer a link
that does not require membership to download (i.e.
FileFront). A download link
that is not free to download will take longer to process (not to mention annoying).
You MUST include a readme file in your archive. If you have remade someone else's
map, you must acknowledge them, and you must have permission to do so in the first
place.
Please note that in order to make the best use of our time as well as yours,
we will make a quick assessment of your map, judging whether we think the map will
fall into the 0-3 range. We don't review maps in this range as we think that they
are not ready for public release and not worth the time for the reviewer to
write about or for people to download. If this is the case, we will most likely
mail you back, giving you a few pointers and recommending you post your map in the
Map Playtesting section of the Insite forums.
Please try and include one screenshot inside the archive file for your
map. This is standard procedure for releasing a map and allows people to give the
map a quick checking-out before they commit to installation. Not only is it polite,
but if you're uploading to NaliCity or other sites, you may be required to have one.
If you're wondering what you should put in your readme file, I suggest you use
this
readme generator. It was created by the guys at NaliCity and is a great way
to include all the relevant info about your map in a straight-forward and
standardized way.
