Ok, just a note to all those who STILL use 56gay modems, this thing is pretty big for a map. Personally, I use my trusty cable modem of speediness, so size of file is no object for me anymore, plus, for those who have 8 MB vid cards like me, this thing WILL LAG YOU OUT. I had to use the "killpawns" command VIA console to get it to actually run at times.
Anyways, on to the map. The map takes place in sort of a mountainous region, with two towers seperated by a giant cliff wall, sort of like CTF-LavaGiants. The map is very well designed, many seperate routes to the NME base, and some clever uses of movers/triggers and whatnot(hey, i aint no level designer!), such as a giant fan that actually lifts you up and allows you to use some of the higher up corridors. Hey, it beats making the bots use elevators. The roof of the flag room, both red and blue, is actually a giant tube of water, in which you jump in from the top, and when you hit the bottom, you drop right into the flag room. If you don't get it, you'll simply have to download the map yourself and take a look at it, because words simply cannot describe (and i mean it too) how cool that feature is. There are also some cool "firefly" effects used in the middle of the map. Obviously, and it said in the readme too :) the author (Stephanie P.) took ideas from CTF-HallOfGiants and CTF-MarsCanyon.
The entire map is pretty huge and it takes some time to get used to the layout of the place. There are lots of shortcuts you can take to get to the enemy flag room, and in a new twist, you can also take shortcuts to get to different routes to get to the enemy flag room. Confusing? Yes it is. I found VERY VERY few weapons scattered throughout the arena. The only 2 i was actually able to get my hands on were a pulse rifle, and a minigun. The only other weapons I saw but were never able to get, was a shock rifle and rocket launcher, I couldn't find a sniper rifle either, so you 1337 snipers here have to find some other way to kill. Health pickups are rare in this map, and you'll be lucky to get your hands on one. The UDamage i found fairly easily, while the shield belt i never got to. No health vials or armor visible here, either.
There were a few texture clipping problems like in Colliery, but there are only a few of em, and you barely notice them when you're trying to get back to base without getting blown to pieces. Lighting was OK throughout the map, nowhere too bright or too dark.
The bots performed ok too. They did get stuck in a few places near the flag rooms, but nothing too serious. They engage in firefights from across bridges, on the giant fan, plus, their aim is pretty good too. They capped the flag whenever they could and they defended the bases really well, even on just experienced. Speaking of flag rooms, The flags are on top of these cool-looking archways that look really cool :-P. Overall? F U N. Thats all i need to say.
Bottom Line: Despite it nearly killing my computer, when it didn't lag, the arena was soon covered in blood (which forced me to retire cause my video card was sent into code blue at the time.). This map is for those with high quality video cards and lotsa memory.

Ok, I re-did these screenshots also. :-)
Nice theme here, too, but not the best-looking IMO. Rather big.

Yipe! I may have to redo the shots for this one as well. I'm not sure what to think of this one. It's a homage to Romero and Carmack, but it lacks of weapons/ammo to cover the whole vastness of the area. Bot defense really sucks, but great music. Too bad because this could have been better with some changes.
