Prepare to be TRigGeR^HaPpY (pun intended) in a nice, small arena!
Not much to see here. It's a pretty small industrial-type place, that is fit for 2-4 players. The author just called it a "big room." Weh. This map would actually be perfect for any quick 1-on-1 or 2-on-2 tourney matches, online or offline. As I said this was industrial, let's discuss some of those issues, mainly in the texturing department. Plenty of industrial-type metal and concrete to see here, giving that feel to this area. Architecture wasn't completely complex (try saying that 5 times fast), but some good curves on the ceiling, the platforms, and the walls helped a bit. Good usage of ramps as well. The lighting had almost no source in the wide open areas in the center of the map, but some good spotlight effects come from the small lights, and the touches of blue in the lower ends of the map are executed nicely with an apparent source from the light on that low ceiling. Bots did fairly well, as they treaded through the whole map no problem, grabbed their weapons, and kicked some serious tail.
Items are scattered about generously, especially with a couple of the weapons in the blue spots, the shock rifle up high, and the rocket launcher in the center. Health is a tad on the scarce side. No sounds were present, but the area with lightning (behind the glass, on the top) could've had some electric sound to it. The author placed in Run as the music track here. This default UT fare was quite fitting for this style of arena. Since not much is shown here, this map should be able to flow very smoothly for any type of machine, fast or slow. I did like the layout of this room; it was nice and symmetrical. The map strategy here? Just like most DM maps - be armed with something good, look for some areas to hide and plan a surprise attack, and keep the health up when you can. Nice download size too, for those of you without a fast connection. You can visit the author's site here.
Bottom Line: It's not very much, but if you want a fast-paced map for some quick frags, then go ahead and download this map.

There is one thing that you can't deny this map has. . .playibility!! It's quite good in that sense, actually reminds me of RA map, I guess it's the maps symmetry that lends it that quality. I agree with the review on how there is a lot of unsourced light in the level, never a god thing and I would suggest perhaps adding some windows when your level is too dark. The blue lights feel a bit out of place, and you generally used white. . .making it a little bland. The map does have some nice touches to it though, like the trim around all the ramps, etc. The little power boxes for the lights are a nice touch as well. The little blue electricity things are done well, but you don't get to see them enough, being all the way at the top. Maybe you could have included them on the ground level as well, just to spice things up a bit.
Overall a well playing level, due to to it's simplicity, but it could use a lot more spit and polish!

This one may not have a great deal of replay value, but download it and decide for yourselves. It's a simple DM map, but does have its high points.

It may not have been much, but I'd like to be able to do architecture like that sometime.
